All Well
Luna has a good eye and she snapped this on a recent visit to the Similan Islands, on Thailand's west coast. "Your" is often pronounced here as "you a" and "ear" becomes "ea a" and "yea r" is year! There is a webiste called www.engrish.com if you want more of this!
Benedict has started his formal education and attends a local nursery. He seems to really enjoy it. He's a joy. We are now well into term, my third teaching year in Thailand. I love working with the kids. Luna is well and very busy. That's how it is for us : we are busy people!
There is an election pending here, beginning of July, and I rather fear the result will rip Thailand apart once more. Rather re-open the existing fissure. Yingluck, sister of the deposed Thaksin looks set to win and I can't see that "the authorities" will allow such a result to stand. In any event it's weird because I don't really know what the issues are and can't confess to taking much interest. However I think trouble is brewing and the election's aftermath might be a difficult time.
I am glad to say I am still enjoying life in Thailand and the alternative, a return to Cameron's UK, doesn't do much for me. In truth however I think we will return in time for Benedict's educational needs. He's a bright boy.
